This article is already dated. Beer and microbreweries are taking off in Shanghai! There are now several legitimate microbreweries and brewpubs in Shanghai. Shanghai Brewery, The Brew, Dr Beer… keep the beers comin’! I recommend Shanghai Brewery and The Brew. The Dr Beer brews are too watered down.
