Anniversary Ale – Pale Ale (2013) by Mendocino Brewing Company Tasting Notes

Mendocino Brewing Company celebrates their 30th Anniversary with the first of their anniversary ales: a Cascade single hop (double) pale ale.

When I saw this on the shelves of the San Francisco Costco, I couldn’t pass it up and it didn’t disappoint. At 7%, I was expecting something more like an IPA but the bitterness was mellow and the malt complemented the hops well. I’ll be keeping an eye out for their next two anniversary beers throughout the year.
