Speakeasy The Don IIIPA Notes

Clear dark orange, floral & spicy & grapefruit aroma, malty, not too sweet, not too dry, spicy bitterness, piney.

This is a “very limited release” beer by Speakeasy Ales and Lagers in San Francisco, CA that I believe was only available at the brewery. I enjoyed a pint of this tasty Double IPA at the Speakeasy Brewery for the Halloween party on Friday, October 29, 2010.

  1. I haven’t seen their DIPA “The Don” is it a special on tap at the brewery? I’ve had their DIPA “Double Daddy” and it’s nice. Good body, malty to match the bitter. I enjoyed it. My wife and I are heading up to SF in December do you have a suggestion for the best Belgian bar? I know of a few but wouldn’t mind a recommendation. Thanks! Love the site especially the Achouffe most recently. One of my all time favorite beers.
